This scientific event is organized through a collaborative effort between the "Applied Chemistry and Environment Laboratory" and the "Development and Exploitation of Desert Energy Resources Laboratory", both affiliated with the Faculty of Exact Sciences at the University of El Oued.
The primary objective of this event is to foster scientific exchange by providing a platform for researchers particularly doctoral candidates to present and discuss their latest research findings with a diverse and multidisciplinary academic audience. It also aims to strengthen collaboration and promote the development of scientific partnerships among participants at both national and international levels.
The conference places a particular emphasis on the fields of applied chemistry and environmental engineering, in recognition of their critical role in advancing chemical sciences and addressing contemporary challenges related to environmental sustainability and human well-being.
The scientific program is structured around five major thematic areas aligned with the conference scope. The first theme focuses on chemical depollution and environmental protection, which have emerged as key priorities for institutions and organizations engaged in addressing environmental challenges. The second theme is dedicated to pharmaceutical chemistry and drug discovery, highlighting the essential contribution of chemistry to the design, development, and production of therapeutic agents. The third and fourth themes address recent advances in organic synthesis and catalysis, with particular attention to their wide-ranging applications, as well as emerging research in phytochemistry and medicinal plants, emphasizing their significance in the discovery of bioactive compounds and the development of natural products. The final theme deals with modeling, design and development of functional materials for environmental and energy applications.
